Have you ever stopped to think that how you spend your day is how you spend your life?
It’s a powerful notion if you let it sink in. If this statement brings up concern, regret, and longing for a different life, you are not alone.
Like many others I was once living the deferred life plan, waking up each day to work and living a little on the side. Until one day, a life-changing surgery made me realize that life can be short and I was not participating in my days as much as I wanted to.
At that moment, I committed to living a life of better balance. Realizing that time is our most finite resource, I set out on a mission to master it. During my recovery, I became a student of productivity and planning. I established healthy habits and created tools to help me accomplish more and live more. That is what I now share with you through Origami Day.
Origami Day is a lifestyle of balance and the tools to maintain it. It is a resource for your life and your work. It is a shared vision to shape our time and shape our culture. It is a roadmap on your journey. It is the solution to your problems. It is a counter to busy-ness.
For many of us work is a necessity, but life is the priority. I believe we each have the opportunity to be present in our lives while still being productive, and it begins with shaping our time.
